Abstract in English
This doctoral thesis deals with the historical, political and artistic-pedagogical perspectives in Documentary Theater, as well as situates some different ways of making this aesthetic proposal, starting from international and national references, such as Cia. Teatro Documentário in São Paulo, where the author of this thesis has been a documentary actor for ten years. This work sought to understand the many corners and meanings of the word experience in order to reflect: what would it be like to build classes about Documentary Theater that were set out to be an experience and to generate a meaningful counsciousness to those involved. The study thinks, reflects and proposes a primary education based on the concept of experience. To achieve that, it was necessary to build a new curriculum in the Arts department in the school researched with the joint project: CAI - Center for Integrated Arts, which unified the multiple artistic languages (Visual Arts, Dance, Music, Theater and Cinema) and architected new pedagogical practices. The research also investigated and analyzed the artistic-pedagogical trajectory of a group of Elementary School students who were exposed, specifically, to teaching Documentary Theater. The narrative is told by the artist-teacher-researcher and the students through class protocols, which reveal new possibilities for thinking, feeling and doing school and art based on the foundations of the so-called Pedagogy of Participation.
