A presente pesquisa analisa o cotidiano da EMEF Mauro Faccio Gonçalves Zacaria, localizada na periferia da cidade de São Paulo, que desenvolve, ao longo de mais de duas décadas, projetos que refletem uma Educação em Direitos Humanos. Tais projetos abarcam a preocupação com a valorização e formação de educadores, concursos de poesia, semanas de oficinas educativas, colóquios de alunos e ex-alunos e atividades a partir de temas escolhidos pelos próprios alunos na comemoração dos aniversariantes da escola a cada trimestre. A escola articula organicamente projeto político-pedagógico, gestão democrática e teoria educacional inspirada em Paulo Freire. Essa inspiração entende o educar como um ato político que não ignora a realidade existente para além dos currículos oficiais e dos muros escolares, reafirmando o poder transformador da educação como exigência para a emancipação humana e da escola enquanto espaço privilegiado de uma formação em direitos humanos. Na Escola Zacaria, a compreensão e a prática desses direitos envolvem educadores, estudantes e familiares a vivem como um local de alegria, cuidados, afeto e reconhecimento de todos como pessoas de direitos, para além das hierarquias, papeis e funções sociais. Sem ignorar a existência de múltiplos problemas e conflitos enfrentados por quaisquer unidades escolares, o trabalho ressalta o modo singular pelo qual a Escola Zacaria discute, enfrenta e, muitas vezes, supera tais conflitos. Este trabalho de pesquisa acompanha e busca compreender esse processo.

The present research analyzes the school life at the EMEF Mauro Faccio Gonçalves Zacaria, situated at the suburb of the city of São Paulo, which develops, for more than two decades, projects envolving an Education in Human Rights. Those projects comprehend a concerning on the valorization and formation of the educator, competitions of poetry, weeks of educational workshops, colloquium of students and ex-students and activities from chosen subjects by the students in the celebration of anniversary of those students in each trimester. The school articulates organically its political-pedagogical project, democratic management and educational theory inspired on Paulo Freire. This inspiration understands the act of educate as a political act which doesnt ignores the existent reality beyond the official curriculums and the scholars walls, reaffirming the transformative power of education as a requirement for the human emancipation and of the school as a privileged space of an education in human rights. At the School Zacaria, the comprehension and the practice of those rights embraces educators, students, and his relatives to live in a place of joy, care, affectivity, and recognition of all as people of rights apart from hierarchies, contracts and social functions. Without ignoring the existence of multiples problems and conflicts faced by any school, this work emphasizes the particular way in which the School Zacaria debates, confronts, and in many times, overcome those conflicts. This work of research follows this process and intends to comprehend it.
