This work has its origin in an interest, derived from a clinical experience, about how psychoanalysis could contribute to teacher training. In the last decades, the theme of teacher training has occupied a prominent place in educational debates, being a matter of concern and investment by the governments of several countries. From the analysis of a report published in 2016 by the British magazine, The Economist, about teacher training, under the curious title "How to make a good teacher", we seek to outline how teacher training has been conceived by hegemonic pedagogical discourse: an essentially technical and instrumental training outlined based on certain characteristics that would define a universal ideal teacher. In this conception of formation, we observe an emptying of the training experience in favor of manufacturing, in the Arendtian sense of the term, of the Good Teacher. Isn't this hegemonic discourse about teacher education, in the name of fabricating the Good Teacher, silencing the teachers own style? What effects would a conception of teacher training, oriented predominantly by the logic of manufacturing, have on the transmission and involvement of the teacher in the educational act? These were the questions that guided this work. Several authors of the educational sciences have been warning about the problem of this essentially technical and instrumental formation, warning that in a job that deals with the human, such as educating and analyzing, in addition to theoretical procedures and knowledge, it is essential to consider the know-how and his subjectivity of the teacher in his education. This concern take a new proposal into the field of theories of teacher education: the formation of the reflective teacher. We then sought in this research, from the psychoanalytic perspective, to promote a discussion about these two conceptions of teacher education: on the one hand the formation of the Good Teacher and on the other hand, the proposal for the formation of the reflective teacher, as defended by Philippe Perrenoud. According to psychoanalysis, there is something about access to knowledge that takes place in the social bond between teacher and student, something about the style of the teacher that escapes him and that is of the order of the unconscious. To this style that takes place in the transferential relationship, psychoanalysis gives the name of transmission. Knowledge is the result of an operation by the subject of the unconscious and deals with the subject's experience of desire with unconscious knowledge. Thus, far from intending to offer an ideal training proposal, or to define the characteristics of an ideal teacher, we seek to delimit the specific démarche through which psychoanalysis can have some value for the field of teacher training. Psychoanalysis recover in the teacher training the dimension of the subject of the unconscious and its intrinsic relationship with knowledge.
