Abstract in English
The present work, inserted in the field of moral psychology, sought to understand the organization of thinking of Brazilian teachers regarding their life projects. The main goal of the present investigation was to identify and analyze the life projects of Brazilian teachers in activity, as well as the underlying values to this elaboration. It is based on two main theoretical axes: the concept of life projects and the Theory of Organizing Models of Thinking. During the development of the research, we designed and applied a questionnaire with 22 questions regarding the teachers' values and their life projects. Teachers from each of the five socioeconomical regions of Brazil answered the electronic questionnaire anonymously. We analyzed the answers given by 100 teachers from the theoretical and methodological framework of the Theory of Organizing Models of Thinking. Among the results, we highlight the strong presence of the work with education and the social commitment in the teachers' life projects. We discussed the results considering the principles of excellence, ethics and engagement which are brought by the concept of good work. In addition, we point out the ethics of care and the empathy as important elements for the work of the good teacher.
