Abstract in English
In this study examines - in the light of psychoanalysis - the effects on school institutions of the belief that from democratic practices such as, for example, the famous "combined in the classroom", "self-management" or "democratic management", the students would learn and recognize in practice the importance of democratic values by becoming critical and autonomous, in other words, citizens capable of acting responsibly in the world that they inherit, integrate and are inevitably involved in. For that, was used the novel Lord of the Flies (1954,) by William Golding, to illustrate and elucidate the illusory character of this, taking as a central axis an analysis of the social bond that permeates the relationship between educator and student and allows - without guarantees of success - the education.
