Open answers were coded according to the criteria of the instrument creators and data analysis. The results showed various responses, grouped into psychological definitions, which mostly associated happiness with a state of harmony, and contextual definitions, which associated happiness with being with the family and enjoying interpersonal relationships. Quantitative data showed Family and Health as the most relevant domains. Finally, the results indicated a majority association of happiness with living well with oneself and relationships built.
