Abstract in English
The thesis reports research on the growing presence of cybernetic technical objects in school environments. It seeks to understand the emergence of a sociotechnical branch that is considered recent and impactful: artificial intelligence applied to education (AIED). The work focuses on the following problem: does AIED promote the transformation or the disintegration of the school institution? The hypothesis formulated was that, based on the current learning-centered paradigm, AIED promotes the disintegration of that which is the school, by the means of hyper-personalization, an aspect that makes the common and public character of education unfeasible. The research gathered the perspectives of the AIED spokespersons, which supported the confirmation of the hypothesis. It concludes that AIED is a relevant vector for the disintegration of the school form, and not for the disintegration of the modern schooling institution that has been established worldwide. This disintegration refers to the impracticability of the existence of a school form whose operational principle is the provision of unproductive free time to the new generations. By reducing reality to data, through a gnostic view of school materiality, AIED promotes educational personalism, while preventing the construction of the common dimension within the school environment.
