O corpo disposto: professoras de educação infantil, gênero e mundo público no Brasil (2016-2023)

Abstract in English
Historically, women represent almost all educators when it comes to deals with Early Childhood Education in Brazil. This fact is due, in large part, to the formation of the teaching staff in our country, which has always taken into account aspects reproducers of the gender binary logic in the sexual division of labour. From ethnographic observations and interviews with teachers in an institution of Early Childhood Education in the city of São Paulo, this research seeks to verify if there is a heteronormative orientation mechanism that aims at the implementation of the model of maternal teacher through the regulation of their bodies and how the bodies of teachers and children were influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic in the context of the Jair Bolsonaro government. The analysis dialogues with the works of Judith Butler, Michel Foucault, Guacira Lopes Louro and other authors who discuss questions of gender, identity, language, social production of the body and governmentality.
