Keywords in Portuguese
Currículo
Curso de licenciatura
Ensino de sociologia
Universidade de São Paulo e educação

Abstract in English
This work was initiated as a continuation to the studies about teaching Sociology in high school, the subject studied in the Master thesis research. Therefore, in order to know the conception on formation of the Sociology teacher in high school and the changes along the time, it was chosen to study the curriculum of the courses of bachelors degree and licentiates degree in Social Sciences at the University of São Paulo, since its foundation to the present days. It was considered that the licentiate course of USP, which is the most long lasting and in some way inaugural, would be able to provide, from its archives, the subsidies that are necessary to the comprehension of the curricular objectives of teacher education formation. For such, it was selected, as research sources, the yearbooks, guides, internal processes and minutes of the Graduation Committee from both the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences. We made use of the works of authors such as Goodson, Popkewitz, Apple and other thematizers of curricular theories, in order to define and characterize the curriculum as an object of study.
