A pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar e analisar o tratamento conferido à educação sexual em documentos municipais, bem como a relevância da temática nas perspectivas dos técnicos da Secretaria Municipal de Educação, de gestores, professores e estudantes de um município do interior do Piauí. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que envolveu os procedimentos de análise documental e entrevistas semiestruturadas, com 28 sujeitos, entre março e junho de 2019. Os resultados evidenciaram que alguns assuntos relacionados à educação sexual constam em documentos municipais, apontando para a importância da temática na formação escolar. Entretanto, reconheceu-se a insuficiência de formações para educadores voltadas a essas questões. Alguns eventos esporádicos são realizados nas escolas, segundo programações estabelecidas por parceiros da Secretaria Municipal de Educação, com destaque para os profissionais de saúde que compõe o Programa Saúde na Escola. Os técnicos, gestores e professores evidenciaram que conferem importância à abordagem da temática no cotidiano escolar e nos documentos, mesmo que reconheçam dificuldades para isto, ligados por exemplo, à inserção ou retirada de termos como gênero e sexualidade de documentos oficiais, dentre outras. Mas também constatam a ênfase em uma visão biologicista e reprodutivista no tratamento da educação sexual. Outra dificuldade que apontam é o seu despreparo para lidar com as questões ligadas à educação sexual, inclusive porque não existem no seu cotidiano formações relacionadas a ela. Soma-se à ausência dessa formação, a ausência ou insuficiência do apoio familiar nas orientações aos estudantes. Estes, por sua vez, confiam e recebem bem as orientações dos profissionais de saúde, mas acreditam que a escola é o lugar de protagonismo para esse debate, e suas famílias, o de acolhimento. Identificam o que consideram ser suas diversas vulnerabilidades, principalmente pela ausência dessa escuta sensível e de uma orientação assertiva. Conclui-se que a educação sexual precisa ser realmente incorporada ao currículo dos cursos de formação inicial de professores, assim como nos espaços de formação continuada nos estados e municípios e no interior das escolas, de modo que a prática pedagógica crie condições para essa discussão, inclusive cuidando da parceria com as famílias nesse processo, possibilitando uma formação de cidadãos mais seguros, confiantes e capazes de fazerem as escolhas que favoreçam suas identidades e suas vidas.

The research aimed to identify and analyse the treatment given to sexual education in the municipal documents, as well as the relevance of the thematic in the perspectives of the professionals from the Municipal Secretary of Education, the schools Principal, coordenators, teachers and students of a city in Piauís countryside. It is a qualitative research that involved the documental analysis procedures and semi-structured interviews, with 28 subjects, between May and June of 2019. The results showed that some issues related to sexual education are in the municipal documents, pointing to the importance of the thematic in the school education. However, it was recognized the lack of training for educators regarding these questions. Some sporadic events happen in the schools, according to schedules established by Municipal Secretary of Educations partners, with emphasis on the health professionals that compose the School Health Program. The technicians, managers and teachers evidenced the importance of approaching the theme in the schools daily and in the documents, even though they recognize difficulties for that related, for example, to the insertion or withdrawal of terms like gender and sexuality of the official documents. Yet, they verify the emphasis in a biologist and reproductive view in the treatment of sexual education. Another difficulty pointed out is their unprepare for dealing with the questions related to sexual education, even because there are no formations in their daily life about this matter. Along with that, theres the absence or lack of family support on the students orientation, who trust and welcome the orientations of the health professionals, but believe that the school is the main place for this debate while family is about hosting. They identify what they consider to be their various vulnerabilities, mostly because of the absence of this sensitive hearing and an assertive orientation. As conclusion, the sexual education needs to be really incorporated into curriculum of initial teacher training courses, as well as into the spaces of continuing education in the states and cities and in the schools, so that the pedagogical practice creates conditions for this discussion, including taking care of the partnership with the families in the process, enabling the formation of safer, more confident citizens, capable of making the choices that favor their identities and their lives.
