O trabalho fundamenta-se em estudo bibliográfico que tem por base as obras Fundamentação da Metafísica dos Costumes (2007), Resposta à pergunta: O que é o Iluminismo? (1989) e Sobre a Pedagogia (1996b) de Immanuel Kant e as obras Dialética do Esclarecimento (1985), Teoria da Semicultura (1996) e a coletânea de conferências e debates radiofônicos Educação e Emancipação (2003a, 2003b, 2003c, 2003d) de Theodor Adorno, referentes às questões sobre filosofia moral e educação. São traçados paralelos entre os autores, a partir dos conceitos de moralidade, liberdade, emancipação e construção da individualidade por meio do processo formativo, tendo como princípio metodológico o raciocínio dialético negativo, na contraposição e sustentação de antíteses fundamentais para a ampliação do debate. São consideradas as intersecções, assim como as interlocuções circundantes aos autores, Kant e Adorno, sem descartar as tensões e os antagonismos prementes à análise. Continuidades e rupturas entre o contexto moderno e o contemporâneo foram expostas para sustentar a hipótese de que, na contemporaneidade, o direcionamento moral da educação continua relevante, porém, devendo ser reconfigurado com base em estruturas críticas adequadas ao contexto. Neste, a moral dialética negativa, oriunda da interpretação adorniana sobre as relações sociais, se apresentaria como princípio exequível, fortalecedor das estruturas democráticas da sociedade, assim como a elaboração crítica do passado, considerada na qualidade de competência essencial a se desenvolver no processo formativo.

This work is fundamented on a bibliographic study based on the Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals (2007), Answering the Question: What Is Enlightenment? (1989) and On Education (1996b) by Immanuel Kant; and Dialectic of Enlightenment (1985), Theory of Semiculture (1996), and the collection of conferences and radio debates called Education and Emancipation (2003a, 2003b, 2003c, 2003d) by Theodor Adorno, referring to the questions of moral philosophy and education. The authors are paralleled considering the concepts of morality, freedom, emancipation, and building of individuality by means of a formative process, having the negative dialectic reasoning as a methodological principle as a counterposition and support of fundamental antithesis to amplify the debate. Both intersections and interlocutions between the authors, Kant e Adorno, are considered. However, the tensions and antagonisms which stem from the analysis are not left out of the debate. Continuities and disruptions between the modern and the contemporary were exposed to sustain the hypothesis that, in the contemporary times, the moral directions for education are still relevant; however, they must be reconfigured based on critical structures adequate to the context. In this, the negative moral dialectic from Adornos interpretation on social relations is presented as an achievable principle, capable to strengthen the democratic structures of society, such as the critical elaboration of the past, considered as the quality of an essential competence to be developed in the formative process.
