A presente pesquisa se insere no campo dos estudos da história social, interligada à História da Educação, a fim de lançar um olhar sobre a História da Educação do Campo desenvolvida no Assentamento Ambrósio - PI. Esta escolha deve-se às peculiaridades desse espaço, marcado pela questão social da luta pela terra, e, também, por ser o primeiro assentamento de reforma agrária da microrregião de Picos - PI e não possuir vínculos e/ou filiação direta com o Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST). A pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar e analisar as experiências educativas escolares e não escolares desenvolvidas no período de 1985 a 2015. Para tanto, utilizou fontes orais advindas das entrevistas realizadas com os primeiros moradores do Assentamento, tanto líderes quanto professoras, que proporcionaram reflexão diferenciada acerca da relação intrínseca entre trabalho, experiência e educação; e documentos escritos (Processos judiciais do INCRA, Atas da Associação, Atas da Assembleia da CPT, Diários de Classe, Coleções de Livros Didáticos). A análise foi realizada à luz do referencial teórico-metodológico (estudos de E. P. Thompson; estudos sobre Educação no e do Campo, Movimentos Sociais, Associativismo) que orientou a interpretação, tornando possível a compreensão sobre como ocorreu a formação do Assentamento Ambrósio e o fazer-se dos trabalhadores em assentados via educação não formal, por meio de práticas difusas que contribuíram tanto na construção quanto na transmissão de saberes específicos, solicitados pela experiência. E, ainda, como as experiências e o fazer docente das professoras e assentadas forjaram, diante das condições reais do assentamento, um tipo de escola do campo peculiar, apresentando similaridades, continuidades e rupturas tanto com o ideário proposto pela Educação no e do Campo quanto com o modelo de Educação Rural, ou seja, uma alternativa real de escola no e do campo.

The following research is part of the studies of social history, which is inter-connected with the history of education, with the purpose of offering a view about the rural history of education developed at the Ambrosio settlement PI Brazil. The location choice was made based upon the peculiar characteristics of the area which is heavily marked by social tensions demanding land redistribution. Also for being the first settlement requesting fair land redistribution in the micro region of Picos-PI which doesnt have links with the MST. The proposal aims to identify and analyze the scholastic and non-scholastic educational experience developed during the period of 1985 to 2015. Therefor, we use data collected during interviews with some of the settlers, including leaders and teachers. The information generated a new view towards the closed relationship among work, experience and education. We also used written documents (legal actions about INCRA, mammals from settlers council, mammals from the cpt council, lesson plans, collections of school books). The analysis was done under the theory-methodology rules (studies by E.P. Thompson), (Studies about education in and from rural areas, Social movements, union) that guided our view, our interpretation, making possible understanding and writing about the formation of the Ambrosio settlement and the making of the settlers through informal education that was gathered through different practices which contributed in both construction and spread of specific knowledges provided by experiences. Also, how these experiences and the making of teachers and settlers forged according to the local real life conditions, one peculiar type of rural school presenting similarities, continuity, and break from the ideal of education and from the country as well as a model of rural education, which means a real alternative of school in from the country.
