Abstract in English
The Brazilian educational field, in the 1950s, was demarcated as a space-time of rich flourishing of theoretical positions and practical initiatives aimed at renovating secondary education, but which needed reformulation. The revision of secondary education was due to its elitist, traditional and characterized by the rigidity of Organic Teaching Laws. The resumption of the debate was promoted by Escola Nova, with reflections that sought the desired solutions. Thus, the experimental classes became part of the intended pedagogical innovations. It is in this sense that they fall within the field of application of renewing methods and processes, as well as in the field of new types of curricular matrices. In São Paulo, these experiences counted on the pioneering spirit of Luis Contier, who, after his internship at the Center International d Études Pédagogiques, in Sèvres, where known the pedagogical matrix as Classes Nouvelles circulated, implemented, contrary to current legislation, the first experimental classes in a state institute. In the wake of this educator, such experiences, approved by Decree no. 31/58 of the National Education Council and no 77/58 of the Legal Consultancy of the Ministry of Education and Culture, were regulated by the publication of Circular no 1, of the Secondary Education Directorate, in 1959. From its creation, the documentation that he started guide these essays, orienting that, like the essay developed by Contier, the secondary experimental classes followed the molds of the nouvelles classes. Different institutions, public and Catholic, have adopted hybrid matrices. Pedagogical practices were woven, reformatting the original version. This thesis aims to analyze such appropriations from the Nouvelles Classes in the secondary experimental classes in public teaching institutions in São Paulo: at the Alberto Conte State Institute, first unofficial experience, and at the Narciso Pieroni Institute, first official experience. It starts from the hypothesis that, like these first classes, incorporated by the legislation that authorized the essay, the other experiences also appropriated the pedagogical matrix of the nouvelles classes. What is sought is to mark out its different uses. The time frame of the present study begins in the 1950s, when Luis Contier, returned from his internship, started the renovation test, and concluded in the first half of the 1960s, when the Law of Guidelines and Bases of 1961 authorizes the pedagogical experiences for the improvement of the educational processes and the variation of teaching, due to the social and regional specificities of each institution, the same year in which the last experimental class of the Narciso Pieroni Institute was concluded. The empirical corpus of the present research - collected in Brazilian and French collections - comprises national and international magazines and periodicals in circulation at the time; collections of educators involved in the experiences; legislation and official documents; class reports; reports and documents from alumni and teachers. For its reading, concepts of appropriation and circulation will be used, understood in the perspective of Roger Chartier; tactics and strategy, on the other hand, will be taken by Michel de Certeau, and those on the field, by Pierre Bourdieu.
