Keywords in Portuguese
Giorgio
Potência; Operatividade; Inoperosidade; Agamben

Abstract in English
When one reaches the limits of an experience where all life is to be defined by a glorious liturgical operativity of production of effects, to ponder on the inoperativity of life, and on the educational practices, seems to be of the utmost importance. The present investigation, which has as an example and starting point the limit experience of writers that have ceased writing exposing a capacity that does not transfer to action elaborates on the idea of potentialitynot-to in the thought of Giorgio Agamben. Throughout its development, the concept of potentiality moves from impotence to use and gains the sense of an inoperative practice and a deactivating activity of instruments, including those which forge thinking and which superimpose on science and philosophy. If, for Agamben, the matter is to imagine a disruptive, deactivating potentiality, this potentiality can only be found in the form of negation, even if not in an absolute form. It is within this context that education is discussed, that which frames the access to what can be but never to what can not-be, in order to conceive it as an inoperative politics.
