O presente trabalho buscou visibilizar e analisar as falas das crianças sobre as vivências com as TDICs no contexto escolar, mas também, levando em consideração as experiências extraescolares, objetivou ampliar a compreensão acerca desta questão, provocar reflexão sobre as práticas e qualificar as experiências escolares das crianças. A etapa da pesquisa de campo deu-se no âmbito da EMEB Viriato Correia, localizada no município de São Bernardo do Campo SP, no período de outubro de 2017 a maio de 2018. A pesquisa desenvolveu-se à luz dos pressupostos do campo da Sociologia da Infância, que compreende as crianças como sujeitos de direitos e atores sociais, capazes de interferir na sociedade, da mesma forma que são impregnadas pelas consequências dos fatos históricos. O intuito da pesquisa, além de tentar evitar o discurso determinista sobre os efeitos dos avanços tecnológicos, foi, a partir daquilo que as crianças trouxeram em suas falas, estabelecer relações com o conceito de infâncias midiáticas proposto por Buckingham e com as considerações sobre o ofício de aluno trazidas por Sarmento, ampliando a reflexão acerca do tema.

This research paper was aimed at analyzing and drawing attention to childrens extemporaneous speech concerning their interaction and practices with digital technology gadgets both in classroom settings as well as in their out-of-class experiences. Our analysis of their lines was conducted for the purpose of broadening the discussions and understandings concerning this theme, aiming to promote deeper reflections as well as trying to qualify childrens experiences within their own school environments. The field research was carried out in the Viriato Correia Middle School (EMEB Viriato Correia), located in the municipality of São Bernardo do Campo, State of São Paulo, Brazil, from October 2017 to May 2018, which was thoroughly based on the childrens voiced responses to our questions. Our study was developed in the light of the assumptions in the field of Sociology of Childhood, which sees children as subjects with rights and as social agents, able to interfere within their own society, while also being impregnated by the consequences of historical facts taking place around them. The purpose of this study, beyond trying to avoid the deterministic discourse on the effects of technological advancements, and based on what the children brought up in their discourse, was aimed at trying to establish relationships between the concepts of childhood and digital media, as proposed by David Buckingham, and considerations concerning the students duties, as described by Manuel Sarmento, in order to amplify the observations and reflections on this subject matter.
