Este trabalho parte do princípio de que propostas e práticas pedagógicas voltadas ao desenvolvimento de virtudes - atitudes firmes, guiadas por valores construídos ao longo da vida, conduzem os educandos a um sentido maior de identificação social e de cidadania. A pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo, e foi realizada com base em relatos de 09 jovens do Ensino Médio de uma Escola Pública de Ensino no estado de São Paulo, na qual a pesquisadora atua como professora de Filosofia. Os mesmos participaram, no período letivo de dois anos, de um Projeto de Trabalho Social nas instituições: APAE; Delegacia; Creche Municipal; e Lar dos Velhinhos. Os relatos, transcritos na íntegra, resultaram da aplicação de um Protocolo de duas partes - aplicado antes, e após a experiência - contendo questões abertas a respeito dos temas: Presente; Futuro; Valores Morais; e Projeto de Vida. Os dados constituem, ainda, relatórios e diários de campo produzidos pelos jovens; relatos dos responsáveis das instituições; e relatos das famílias dos jovens. A revisão bibliográfica, realizada em plataformas acadêmicas e bibliotecas abrange os temas: Educação em Valores; Juventude; Projeto de Vida; Virtudes; e Valores Morais. Objetivou-se verificar se a inserção dos jovens no trabalho social enseja a construção e/ou afirmação de valores morais, fortalecendo suas virtudes, ampliando suas Perspectivas. Os resultados obtidos indicam que a participação destes jovens no Projeto ampliou seu repertório de valores e sentimentos voltados, principalmente, à generosidade.

This work is based on the principle that pedagogical proposals and practices aimed at the development of virtues - firm attitudes, guided by values built throughout life, lead students to a greater sense of social identification and citizenship. The research is of a qualitative nature, and was carried out based on the reports of 09 young people from high school at a public teaching school in the state of São Paulo, in which the researcher works as a professor of philosophy. They participated, in the two-year term, in a Social Work Project in the institutions: APAE; Police station; Municipal Nursery; and Lar dos Velhinhos. The reports, transcribed in full, resulted from the application of a two-part Protocol - applied before, and after the experience - containing open questions about the themes: Present; Future; Moral values; and Life Project. The data also constitute reports and field diaries produced by young people; reports by those responsible for the institutions; and reports from young people's families. The bibliographic review, carried out in academic platforms and libraries, covers the themes: Education in Values; Youth; Life Project; Virtues; and Moral Values. The objective was to verify if the insertion of young people in social work leads to the construction and / or affirmation of moral values, strengthening their virtues, expanding their perspectives. The results obtained indicate that the participation of these young people in the Project has broadened their repertoire of values and feelings aimed mainly at generosity.
