A incidência do TEA tem aumentado no decorrer das últimas décadas. Características de processamento de estímulos pelos sistemas sensoriais são determinantes para esse diagnóstico, logo, faz-se necessário o uso de ferramentas diagnósticas traduzidas, adaptadas culturalmente, válidas, confiáveis e acessíveis para que seja possível fazer o rastreio preciso dos componentes que causam prejuízo ocupacional. Dessa forma, foi proposto fazer a tradução e adaptação transcultural do Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI), que após cuidadosa tradução, passou por avaliação de comitê de especialistas para verificação. Após, a verificação da compreensão da tradução dos testes por examinadores e uma amostra de crianças, que respeita os critérios de inclusão estabelecidos, foi realizada com a finalidade de verificar a compreensão dos itens e adaptação cultural. Essa versão traduzida será usada para coleta de dados normativos na população brasileira e, futuramente, realizar-se-ão estudos de validade e fidedignidade.

The incidence of ASD has been getting higher through the past decades. Characteristics of stimuli processing by the sensory systems are a crucial feature in obtaining this diagnosis, making indispensable the use of evaluation tools that are translated, culturally adapted, valid, reliable and accessible in order to enable the measuring of the constructs that cause occupational deprivation. For this scenario, it has been proposed the translation and cultural adaptation of the Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI) for Brazilian Portuguese, which after careful translation, has been submitted through a verification by a specialist comittee. Following, the EASI was administrated by examiners to a group of children, whitin the inclusion criteria, with the purpose of verification of translation comprehension. The translated version will be put to use in the normative data collection among the Brazilian population and, in the future, will permit the study of validity and reliability criteria.
