A presente pesquisa visou a compreender as crises profissionais em jovens adultos(as), buscando entender o que haveria de específico nas crises que irrompem em início de carreira na atualidade e quais as suas causas e finalidades na construção de carreira daqueles(as) que a vivenciam. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa a partir do referencial teórico da Psicologia Analítica de C. G. Jung e de autores(as) pósjunguianos(as), em diálogo com pesquisadores(as) do campo das carreiras. Os instrumentos utilizados para esse fim foram a entrevista semiestruturada e um recurso imagético projetivo. Categorias temáticas empíricas foram construídas a partir do campo e contrastadas com a revisão de literatura na discussão dos resultados. Os resultados mostram que a crise profissional é um fenômeno psicossocial e multifacetado, com suas causas entrelaçadas à subjetividade e ao contexto sociolaboral contemporâneo. Identificamos também que a crise profissional, assim como já havia sido proposto para as crises de cunho pessoal, possui potencial criativo, podendo atuar a partir de um caráter teleológico em prol do processo de individuação. Concluímos, com a pesquisa, que as crises profissionais vivenciadas por adultos(as) jovens na atualidade possuem suas especificidades, especialmente no que se refere à internalização das demandas da sociedade do desempenho, que têm, por sua vez, o potencial de favorecer uma identificação unilateral com a persona, contribuindo para a vivência de falta de sentido no trabalho

This research aimed to understand career crisis in young adults, seeking to better comprehend what specific factors contribute to crisis eruption at the early stages of their careers today, and the causes and purposes in building a career for those who experience a crisis. Therefore, qualitative research was carried out based on the theoretical framework of Analytical Psychology by C. G. Jung and post-jungian authors, in dialogue with researchers within the career realm. A semi-structured interview and a projective imagery resource were the utilized research instruments. Empirical thematic categories were constructed from the research field and contrasted with the literature review within the results discussion. The results show that the career crisis is a psychosocial and multifaceted phenomenon, with its causes imbricated in subjectivity and in the contemporary western socio-labor context. We also identified that the career crisis, as previously proposed in relation to personal crisis, has creative potential, acting from a teleological nature in favor of the individuation process. It has been concluded from the research that the career crisis experienced by young adults today have their specificities, especially with regard to the internalization of the demands of the performance society, which, in turn, have the potential to favor a unilateral identification with the persona, contributing experiencing a lack of meaning at work
