A pesquisa busca descrever o caminho da devolução da criança/adolescente que é devolvido dentro de um processo de adoção. A tentativa é de dar visibilidade a como os atores institucionais lidam com a questão da devolução, se promovem uma intervenção em seu procedimento profissional, se a devolução mobiliza criticidade, e sobretudo, como, a criança/adolescente participa do processo de devolução. Tenta ainda, escutar nas entrelinhas das falas, os buracos existentes na prática. Para tanto, foram eleitas como significativas, as instâncias percorridas pela criança/adolescente: o Abrigo, a porta de entrada do Fórum; o Conselho Tutelar; o Ministério Público/Promotor; o Juiz da Infância e Juventude; o Psicólogo e o Assistente Social. A criança/adolescente não foi, intencionalmente, incluída, pois retomar a experiência da devolução seria reeditar sua história de abandono. A produção de conhecimento não se propõe a dar respostas, e sim assinalar algumas questões levantadas pelos atores institucionais - pensar a prática para não repetir padrões, para não deixar de intervir com compromisso. Sustentado por estudos de teóricos como Goffman, Menzies Lyth, Guirado, Berger/Luckmann e Canevacci para melhor contextualizar a questão institucional e sobretudo, em Freud e continuadores - Klein, Winnicott e Bowlby nos aspectos que dizem respeito ao desenvolvimento emocional da criança/adolescente - o trabalho vem ressaltar o quanto o escutar a criança/adolescente devolvido, odiscurso desestruturado-desestruturante que acompanha a experiência da devolução parece ser um bom e digno instrumento de trabalho que perpassa os papéis institucionais que interferem num processo de devolução. Em linhas gerais foram feitas as seguintes constatações: Que os atores têm diferentes apreensões das necessidades das crianças a partir de seus papéis intitucionais, e isso pode trazer aspectos positivos ou negativos na vida de uma criança adolescente; - A legislação (Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente) que aponta como irrevogável a adoção, dá uma brecha - o estágio de convivência - que é tratado como tempo de experiência com a criança/adolescente, descaracterizando um momento de construção, de enfrentamento do desafio de um novo vínculo; - A produção de conhecimento ajuda a refletir sobre a importância de haver concreto contato entre os envolvidos num momento de devolução, sempre que possível, apesar dos limites do papel institucional. Quando isso acontece, o ator recupera e humaniza a relação, possibilitando o lidar com a situação de forma mais cuidadosa; - A direção dada pelo peso da atuação dos atores, que decidem de diferentes formas, pode estar mais aproximada ou não de uma prática pautada no estreitamento da parceria com os recursos da comunidade. No trabalho permanece a tentativa de apontar possibilidades, contribuições para uma cultura da adoção mais arejada e próxima da cooperação, da família construída nos laços de afinidade, sem aonipotência de negar a história de vida, as raízes das crianças/adolescentes

The research is an attempt to describe the path in redelivering a child/youth within an adoption process. It is an attempt to give visibility to the manner in which institutional actors deal with the matter of redelivery, whether they intervene in their professional procedure, whether the redelivery arouses criticality and, mainly, how the child/youth participates in the redelivery process. It is further an attempt to listen for the practice existing gaps in the between the lines of speeches. For this purpose all steps followed by the child/youth were elected as significant the Children's Home, the Court-house entrance gate; the Guardianship Board; the Department of Justice/Prosecuting Attorney; the Juvenile Court; the Psychologist and the Social Worker. The child/youth was not intentionally included, once to resume the redelivery experience would be to re-edict his/her abandonment history. This investigative production is not ment to provide answers, but to point out some matters aroused by the institutional actors - to ponder over the practice so as to have patterns repeated and uncommitted interventions. Supported by studies of theorists such as Goffman, Menzies Lyth, Guirado, Berger/Luckmann and Canevacci for better inserting the institutional matter within context and, mainly, supported by Freud and his followers - Klein, Winnicott and Bowlby, as to the aspects dealing with the emotional development of the child/youth - this work emphasizes the manner in whichlistening to the redelivered child/youth, the disordered-disordering speech that follows the redelivery experience, seems to be a good and worthy working tool that goes beyond the institutional rolls interfering in a redelivery process. In general, the following findings were noted: From their own institutional rolls the actors have different understanding of the children's needs and this may bring positive or negative aspects to the life of a child/youth; - The regulations ( the Child and Youth Act ) ruling the adoption as irrevocable provide for a breach - the probationary period of residence - that is treated as a period of cohabiting experience with the child/youth, depriving the moment of its relation-building characteristics, a period to actually face the challenge of a new bond; - The exploratory production helps one to ponder on the importance of having actual contact between the parties concerned in the redelivery moment, whenever possible, despite the limits of the institutional roll. When this happens, the actor recovers and humanizes the relationships, making it possible for the situation to be dealt with more carefully; - The direction given by the weight of such actors' attitude when deciding in different manners may be closer or not to a practice based on developing a tighter association with the community resources. The work is concentrated in the effort to point out possibilities, to contribute to a more ventilated and cooperative-bound adoptionculture, as regards the creation of a family relationship built on affinity bonds without the omnipotence of denying a life's history, the roots of children/youths
