Esse trabalho decorre do interesse em explorar processos de curatela no campo da saúde mental atrelados ao Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC) da Assistência Social. Para compreender esse tema, se faz necessário investigar como ocorrem esses processos nas instituições que estão relacionadas com esse tema: Defensoria Pública, Ministério Público e Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS). Para isso, pretende-se entrevistar a/os profissionais que atuam diretamente nesse campo, tais como defensoras/es públicas/os, promotoras/es de justiça e perita/o médica/o e assistentes sociais. A metodologia consiste em trabalho de campo, que se realizará através de entrevistas com esses profissionais e observação do cotidiano de trabalho. Com o objetivo de descrever e analisar o modo como os trabalhadores que atuam no âmbito da curatela compreendem e intervêm nos casos de curatela de usuários dos serviços de saúde mental que buscam pelo BPC. Essa pesquisa pretende trazer possíveis contribuições da psicologia na garantia de direitos e projetos de emancipação

This dissertation stems from the interest in exploring civil interdiction processes in the field of mental health linked to the Benefit of Continuous Care (BPC) of Social Assistance. To understand this theme, it is necessary to investigate how these processes occur in institutions that are related to this topic: Public Defender, Public Ministry and National Social Security Institute (INSS). For this purpose, it is intended to interview the professionals who work directly in this field, such as public defenders, justice promoters and medical experts, and social workers. The methodology consists of fieldwork, which will be carried out through interviews with these professionals and observation of daily work. With the objective of describing and analyzing the way in which the workers that work in the scope of the curator understand and intervene in the cases of curators of users of the mental health services that seek the BPC. This research intends to bring possible contributions of psychology in the guarantee of rights and emancipation projects.
