Essa pesquisa tem como interesse investigar os efeitos do neoliberalismo sobre os ideais de infância e o brincar. O interesse por esse estudo surgiu a partir de inquietações que os trabalhos com crianças e adolescentes suscitaram, nos quais percebeu-se a grande valorização dada a determinados brinquedos e aos jogos eletrônicos em que o brincar e o brinquedo eram tomados como sinônimos, sem estranhamento. Atrelado a isso, a presença marcante de discursos voltados ao consumo de objetos e de ideais de vida com ênfase no sucesso e no dinheiro entre as crianças, trouxe novas indagações. Diante desse cenário e de algumas cenas de grande valorização desses produtos, nas quais muitas vezes as crianças pareciam espectadoras diante dos brinquedos ou das telas, passou-se a indagar sobre o brincar na contemporaneidade e a necessidade de problematizar essa questão. Nesse sentido, dada a complexidade que envolve o tema, buscou-se compreender o contexto em que esse brincar se insere, a partir dos ideais de infância presentes atualmente e de um olhar atento ao discurso do neoliberalismo. Dessa forma, esse trabalho retomou a perspectiva da infância como uma construção social, procurando indagar como o ideal de infância feliz contemporâneo se relaciona com os valores neoliberais presentes em nossa sociedade, trazendo consequências na relação que as crianças passam a ter com o mundo que as cerca, e com a própria experiência do que vem a ser infância. Considerando as realidades distintas em que as crianças estão colocadas, seja pelas marcas das desigualdades nas sociedades ou das diferenças culturais, passou-se a problematizar a concepção de infância como um período de felicidade, sob a proteção dos adultos, único, difundido nos dias atuais. Assim, partindo dessa perspectiva histórica, a partir da qual as crianças respondem, retomou-se a importância de refletir acerca do discurso do neoliberalismo, entendendo que os sujeitos partilham dos valores de uma época. Época essa, marcada pelo egoísmo, pela competição e pelo consumismo. Diante desse contexto, ecoaram algumas perguntas que esse estudo buscou refletir: Quais as condições no contexto neoliberal para que o brincar aconteça? A presença maciça dos brinquedos e das telas impede o brincar, podendo trazer consequências à constituição subjetiva das crianças? Para tanto, esse trabalho retomou a importância do brincar na Psicanálise, assim como discussões sobre o uso dos brinquedos e da tecnologia nos dias atuais, para refletir sobre essas questões. A partir do desenvolvimento dessa pesquisa percebeuse que embora o brincar seja compreendido na Psicanálise pela possibilidade de subversão e de invenção, o discurso neoliberal tem produzido efeitos com o crescente incentivo ao consumo de brinquedos e com o uso dado às novas tecnologias. Pôde-se observar ainda que a primazia da criança frente ao saber do adulto, fomentada na contemporaneidade, pode colocá-la ainda mais vulnerável aos discursos do mercado, fato este que precisa ser problematizado. Esse estudo, a partir da perspectiva teórica e metodológica da Psicanálise, e em diálogo com as teorias sociais, procura trazer novas reflexões acerca do tema, sabendo se tratar de um saber incompleto, não todo, em construção

This research aims to investigate the neoliberalism effects on childhood ideals and play. The interest in the subject arose from concerns that emerged from working with children and adolescents, in which it was possible to realize the great value given to certain toys and video games, enough to understand play and toys as synonyms, without estrangement. Related to that, there is the remarkable presence of discourses focused on consumption and life ideals with an emphasis on success and money among children, which has added new questions. Considering the scenario and the great promotion of products, in which children often seemed like spectators in front of toys and screens, it was necessary to inquire about play in contemporaneity and the need to discuss such issues. In this regard, given the theme complexity, we have attempted to grasp the context of play based on childhood ideals these days, keeping a watchful eye on the neoliberal discourse. Thus, this work brings back the perspective of childhood as a social construction, questioning how the contemporary ideal of a happy childhood relates to the neoliberal values in our society, bringing consequences on the relationship that children have with the world surrounding them and with the very experience of childhood itself. Considering childrens different realities, whether due to the marks of inequality in societies or cultural differences, the research started questioning the concept of childhood as a time of happiness under the protection of adults, something unique, as the current widespread concept. Starting with this historical perspective, where children respond, this dissertation took back the importance of reflecting on the discourse of neoliberalism, understanding that the subjects share the values of a time - a time marked by selfishness, competition, and consumerism. Given this context, some questions were echoed that this study sought to reflect, such as what are the conditions in the neoliberal context for the play to happen? Is it possible that the massive presence of toys and screens hinders play opportunities, bringing consequences to the childs subjective constitution? Therefore, this work brings back the importance of play in psychoanalysis, as well as discussions about the use of toys and technology today, to reflect upon these issues. Based on the development of this research, it was noticed that although play in psychoanalysis is understood through the possibility of subversion and invention, the neoliberal discourse has produced effects on children with its increasing promotion of toys consumption and the use of new technologies. Another observation was that the child's primacy in the face of adult knowledge, much encouraged these days, could make them even more vulnerable to market discourse, a fact that needs to be addressed. This study, from the theoretical and methodological perspective of psychoanalysis and in dialogue with social theories, seeks to bring new reflections on this subject, knowing that it is incomplete knowledge, not altogether, under construction
