The aim of the present work is to reconstruct the history of psychoanalysis in Brazil during the dictatorial period between 1964 and 1985. To this end, methodological expedients were built, inspired by the work of Bourdieu, Wright Mills and the prosopographic approach. From them two pairs of axes are organized, the affiliate routes and the migratory routes, which in turn systematized the differentiation between specific initiatives of psychoanalysts and psychoanalytic movements, aiming to understand how the national psychoanalytic movements behaved in terms of relative autonomy in relation to to the injunctions of the dictatorial state. The vast majority of the primary sources consulted come from three different file platforms, the Memórias Reveladas portal, the São Paulo State Public Archive and the Hemeroteca portal. Due to the quality of the archives, a general understanding of the policy of secrecy in the history of psychoanalysis was also proposed. It is based on the assumption of crisis authoritarianism in the 1964 military coup, configuring the occasion alliance with liberal sectors of civil society. Official movements respond by creating what has been called the national myth of the pedigree, present as a unique historiographical modality and as a foundation of editorial resources for the stabilization of concepts and practices. With the hardening of the military regime in the last years of the 1960s, there is a redistribution of the play of the forces, whose intellectual response to the resistance to the dictatorship linked to psychoanalysis is based on Freudo-Marxism on the one hand and, on the other, the official alignment of practices and concepts under the aegis of the ethics of maturity. Due to the infiltration of the ideological argument of psychological warfare, the field is mischaracterized in a heteronomous way, under the paradox of the process of great popularization of Freudism, which is called the psychoanalysis boom. From the second half of the 1970s onwards, when the regime rehearses the distension and includes the horizon of the democratic transition, both the miracle of the legitimate multiplication of the instituting processes of psychoanalytic movements and a critical psychoanalytic library, both clinically and intellectually responsible for the breakdown, are consolidated. ipeist hegemony in Brazil. Finally, it is concluded that the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship imposed on the psychoanalytic movements a heteronomous process of consolidation and expansion in the country, whose history of border distortions between civil and military spaces generated collaborations and resistance. This history, therefore, reaffirms the unrestricted commitment of psychoanalysis to the political horizon of democracy so that one can speak of clinical and intellectual agendas in terms of relative autonomy
