Tomando-se o referencial psicanalítico, em especial Freud e Kaës, esta pesquisa visa compreender como imigrantes, vindos forçosamente da República Democrática do Congo, se reconhecem em um novo lugar através do contato com a alteridade de quem lhes é estranho, considerando-se o rompimento de laços familiares e a ruptura com as referências que incidem sobre seus processos identificatórios e os constituem como sujeitos. Será feita uma introdução ao ambiente sociopolítico do país de origem dos participantes, a fim de contextualizar a situação que provoca a imigração forçada. Como objetivo geral, buscar-se-á compreender como é mantida a integridade psíquica do sujeito, a busca de novas identificações e a transformação do estranho em familiar. Os objetivos específicos visam analisar a influência das situações que promovem rupturas, associando-as à transmissão psíquica grupal, na constituição de novos laços e na percepção de si, além de compreender e identificar elementos que influenciam e interferem sobre o psiquismo destes sujeitos. De metodologia qualitativa, através de entrevistas semidirigidas com três participantes, encontramos, como resultado principal, um retorno às manifestações culturais que trazem representações dos grupos primários, sendo estas organizadoras do psiquismo do sujeito, e como maneira de se (re)conhecerem

From a psychoanalytic framework, especially Freuds and Kaëss, this research aims at understanding how immigrants who forcibly emigrated from the Democratic Republic of Congo to São Paulo recognize themselves in a new place through the contact with the alterity of those who are strange to them, taking into account the rupture of family bonds as well as the references which affect their identification processes, which form them as subjects. In order to contextualize what forces emigration, there will be an introduction to the social political environment of the participants country of origin. The overall objective will be to understand how the subjects psychic integrity is maintained, the search of new identifications and how the foreign is turned into familiar. The specific objectives aim at analysing the influence of situations that promote disruptions, relating them to the group psychic transmission, to make new bonds and to recognize oneself, as well as to understand and identify elements que influence and intervene on the subjects psyche. A qualitative approach has been used, through semi-directed interviews with three participants. The main findings refer to a return to the cultural manifestations that bring forth primary groups representations which organize the subjects psyche, as well as being a path towards (self-)recognition
