Tratamento com alarme

Abstract in English
Urine alarm treatment has been shown to be effective in about 70% of patients diagnosed with nocturnal enuresis. However, it is necessary to analyze the factors that impede the scope of treatment to the remainder of this population. The Enuresis project of the Institute of Psychology of the University of São Paulo is traditional in the country with studies addressing the theme of the treatment of nocturnal enuresis using the urine alarm in various modalities of care. Its evaluation can provide clues as to the profile of families seeking treatment, its effectiveness and variables related to treatment adherence. The present study aims to investigate the variables related to caregivers, children and the structure of care that may be associated with levels of adherence and effectiveness to the treatment with alarm for enuresis. To this end, the study consisted of a retrospective analysis of 208 medical records of participants in previous researches of the Enurese project. The participants who abandoned the treatment in Enuresis Project were classified as the secondary type of enuresis. They usually had family history of enuresis and were attended by professionals with shorter training time. In addition, dropout participants presented internalizing behaviors and total problems at the clinical level, as reported by caregivers in CBCL and scale of significant impact on successful and unsuccessful groups in treatment. Attention to the variables of adherence to treatment and new studies that encompass the discussion regarding the profile of parents, users and intervention are suggested. They have the purpose of greater reach and real effectiveness of the treatment offered
