Abstract in English
The present study reflects on housing and social bonds bringing up relevant elements to studies on this subject. Those reflections come from interviews taken with people living in Jardim Ângela neighborhood, including some of previous professionals' experience scenes. Although housing is one of social life organizing resources, as well as the access to education, health and work, we face an alarming vulnerability situation, in which millions of families in Brazil suffer from lack of services as sanitation. Based on a Foucault's discourse analysis and from a psychoanalysis point of view, we developed the analysis about social bonds, highlighting the importance of relationships on housing debates. This investigation centered on the themes that emerged during the interviews, specifically those related to territory, family and path. The analysis pointed out the importance of looking into the social bonds in the understanding of housing as a commodity, as a space that segregates, that generates a feeling of belonging and protection, that refers to memories and promotes the encounter with oneself and the other
