Faremos uma discussão sobre o desenvolvimento da clínica freudiana com enfoque nos fatores que levaram a formação de diferentes matrizes do que, aparentemente, seria um conceito único de elaboração psíquica. Nosso principal objetivo é situar as condições históricas que possibilitaram a emergência das diferentes matrizes da elaboração psíquica no desenvolvimento da clínica freudiana, investigando seus desdobramentos técnicos para o campo psicanalítico, com enfoque nas contribuições de Sándor Ferenczi. A primeira matriz da elaboração psíquica, a elaboração associativa, relaciona-se à um processo intrapsíquico, definido como a capacidade do psiquismo para ligar afetos e representações correspondentes. Já a segunda, a perlaboração, relaciona-se com a superação de resistências, em um processo transferencial e interpsíquico, uma vez que seria pelas intervenções do analista que a perlaboração encontra chances de acontecer. Freud apresentou a perlaboração, como um conceito fundamental para a teoria da técnica, pois remete para o modo como o analista se posiciona, ou pode se posicionar, para manter e sustentar uma situação analítica. A perlaboração se coloca como um meio pelo qual seria possível ao sujeito lidar com as dificuldades que aparecem durante um tratamento devido à resistência, ela ganhou um estatuto próprio e reconhecido como o principal constituinte técnico de uma análise, em um processo transferencial e intersubjetivo, ponto valorizado por Ferenczi em suas discussões técnicas. A investigação aqui proposta buscou descrever os diferentes registros do funcionamento psíquico da perlaboração a partir da segunda tópica do aparelho psíquico proposta na teoria freudiana, demonstrando a maneira que ocorre a perlaboração em cada categoria de resistência, do Eu, do Id e do Super-eu e, para tanto, as orientações técnicas ferenczianas foram fundamentais. Nossa hipótese é que os diferentes modelos que a perlaboração pode assumir depende da categoria de resistência envolvida em um caso, reconhecimento que permitiu conceber a relação analítica como uma relação intersubjetiva. We will discuss the development of the freudian clinic focusing on the factors that led to the formation of different patterns of what, apparently, would be a unique concept of psychic elaboration. Our main objective is to situate the historical conditions that made possible the emergence of the different patterns of psychic elaboration in the development of the freudian clinic, investigating their technical developments for the psychoanalytic field, focusing on the contributions of Sándor Ferenczi. The first pattern of psychic elaboration, associative elaboration, is related to an intrapsychic process, defined as the psyche's capacity to link affections and corresponding representations. The second, working-through, is related to overcoming resistance, in a transferential and interpsychic process, since it is through the analyst's interventions that the working through finds chances of happening. Freud presented working-through as a fundamental concept for the theory of technique, as it refers to the way the analyst positions himself, or can position himself, to maintain and sustain an analytical situation. Working-through is a means by which it would be possible for the subject to deal with the difficulties that appear during a treatment due to resistance, it gained its own status and recognized as the main technical constituent of an analysis, in a transferential and intersubjective process, point valued by Ferenczi in his technical discussions. The investigation proposed here sought to describe the different models of the psychic functioning of the working-through from the second topic of the psychic apparatus proposed in freudian theory, demonstrating the way that working-through occurs in each category of resistance, the Ego, the Id and the Superego and, for that, the ferenczian technical guidelines were fundamental. Our hypothesis is that the different models that working-through can assume depend on the category of resistance involved in a case, a recognition that allowed us to conceive the analytical relationship as an intersubjective relationship. Finally, we will point out that the second pattern causes the first, because it would be by overcoming the resistance that the association of a representation occurs
