Keywords in Portuguese

Comunicação vocal
Flerte
Interação interpessoal
Percepção social

Abstract in English
The first is one of the most important phases of the relationship of love, for it is the flirt that makes the partners approach and know eath other, this way contributing yo the creation of the romantic couple. The main objective of this research was to differentiate the vocal characteristics within the situations involving flirt and friendship. For this reason, vocal samples of people during the simulation of such situations were recorded and audively analysed by phonoaudiologists with experience regarding the area of the voice. The vocal characteristics that indicate friendship are: neutral voice, well-balanced resonance, normal glottal attack, adequated pitch, adequated loudness, precise articulation, modulation with hypertonic articulation. The vocal characteristics that indicate flirt are: breathy, fluid or creaky voice, laryngeal resonance, weak glottal attack, low or hight pitch, restricted or excessive speaking range, reduced loudness, deafness of sounds, reduced speaking range, reduced loudness, deafness of sounds, reduced speaking rate, modulation with variations of tones in a restricted or varied form, hypotonic articulation, vowel lengthening and silent pauses. There are some charactheristics, among these of major importance for the determination of the flirt. Some vocal strategies used by people during the flirt were identified. Tendency of vocal infantilization were verified, that indicate a laryngophonic regression
