Abstract in English
The essay is a critical review that presents the debate carried out by classic authors and exponents in the area, who work with the themes in question. It aims to question the dichotomous view of sex and gender. To this end, we present the problem of biological determinism and the reductionist view in general. Afterwards, we move on to a critique of the dichotomy based on sex determination in non-human animals and discuss the terminologies of sex and gender and feminism on the issue of gender. At the end, we discuss the proposed resolution of this dichotomy
