Keywords in Portuguese

Psicanálise
Teoria do apego

Exchanges between Psychoanalysis and Ethology on Attachment Issues: Charting and strategies to consider interdisciplinarity
Keywords in English
Attachment Theory
Ethology
Interdisciplinarity
Network Analysis
Psychoanalysis
Abstract in English
In this dissertation, we took Bowlbys Attachment Theory as a focal point to analyze the experience of interdisciplinarity between Ethology and Psychoanalysis. We briefly review how each field developed its standpoints about the attachment issue, proposing Network Analysis theoretical framework as a methodology to study this research output. The use of Network Analysis on the basis of its bibliometrics perspective allowed us the making of charts about this field of knowledge, which not only simplified the field browsing, but also offered relevant metrics to find out how each field approached (or drifted away) Attachment Theory discussions. At last, we analyzed Bowlbys concept of instinct, as Attachment Theorys maiden author, so then we could pinpoint Developmental Systems Theory as a feasible theoretical framework capable of a formalized interdisciplinary discussion of the question
