Esta pesquisa investiga e debate, em âmbito teórico, a mediação dos relacionamentos afetivo-sexuais realizada por redes sociais, considerando o progressivo aumento desse fenômeno no Brasil, decorrente da difusão do acesso à internet e alto índice de uso dessas plataformas. A partir desse contexto, esta pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar, pela perspectiva da Teoria Crítica, a imposição da dominação social sobre o desenvolvimento da capacidade de amar e compreender como a mediação exercida pelas plataformas online sobre o investimento em relacionamentos amorosos se articula com esse movimento. Para tanto, se realizou a construção da fundamentação teórica, organizada em dois capítulos teóricos, e a revisão integrativa da literatura a respeito dos relacionamentos online. A revisão selecionou 11 artigos por meio das bases de dados Scielo e BVS. A partir das obras de Theodor Adorno, Max Horkheimer e Herbert Marcuse, a pesquisa delineou como principal tendência social a expropriação do amor, realizada pelo aprisionamento das pulsões ao funcionamento da totalidade, e concluiu que as plataformas online reproduzem essa tendência na mediação do contato ofertada, na medida em que é modelada para produzir lucro pela extração de dados de seus usuários

This research investigates and debates, in a theoretical scope, the mediation of affective-sexual relationships carried out by social networks, considering the progressive increase of this phenomenon in Brazil, due to the diffusion of internet access and the high rate of use of these platforms. From this context, this research aims to analyze, from the perspective of Critical Theory, the imposition of social domination on the development of the capacity to love and to understand how the mediation exercised by online platforms on investment in romantic relationships is articulated with this movement. To this end, the construction of the theoretical foundation was carried out, organized into two theoretical chapters, and an integrative review of the literature on online relationships. The review selected 11 articles through the Scielo and BVS databases. Based on the works of Theodor Adorno, Max Horkheimer and Herbert Marcuse, the research outlined the expropriation of love as the main social tendency, carried out by the imprisonment of drives to the functioning of the totality, and concluded that online platforms reproduce this tendency in the mediation of contact offered, as it is modeled to produce profit by extracting data from its users
