Abstract in English
The 2017 Brazilian national common core curriculum, when proposing fields of experience as a way of organizing Early Childhood Education, brought up the need to define the term field of experience itself and revisit the very concept of experience, deepening its understanding, contributing to bring up theoretical repertoire that can be effectively valid for Early Childhood Education, wich differs from other educational levels. The present study, therefore, aims to discuss the integral presence of children in their own experiences, and to investigate the cognitive dimension of the experiences of the first years of life, as well as their profoundly aesthetic character. It presents and dialogues with reports of the author´s personal and professional performance, as well as with authors such as John Dewey, Herbert Read, Silvano Arieti, Anton Ehrenzweig, Ana Mae Barbosa, among others, so that it becomes increasingly clearer the image of an Early Childhood Education that listens to children and values their experiences
