Abstract in English
This study aimed to verify what has been investigated about adult morality in Brazil under the perspective of genetics epistemology; For this, the method used was the integrative literature review. The research was carried out in the SciELO, LILACS and PePSIC, in the period of 10 years (from 2012 to 2022), combining the descriptor "moral development" with the descriptors "adult", "teacher", "professional" and "worker". Three studies were included in the research, and the main results found in the review point to: (1) the scarcity of studies on adult morality under the Piaget's perspective, (2) the fact that two studies conducted by researchers in the field of the psychology touch on the issue of the relationship between moral judgment and actions to address the topic of adult morality, (3) the study in the area of education presented an interest about adult morality aiming at the impact it might have been in moral education of the children, and not exactly on the investigation of one proper morality of this group, and (4) all the articles included deal with the functioning of morality in different contexts, and not with its structural aspect. From this research, was possible to conclude that there seems to be no interest from most Brazilian authors in researching this topic under this theoretical perspective, beyond the work "The moral judgement in children", and the reasons for it, according to the results, seems to be a gap (pointed by the author himself) existing in the work, referring to the approach only to judgement and not to the relations between this and the action/moral conduct; Furthermore, other theories, subsequent of genetics epistemology, deal with this theme, presenting an comprehension of the adult individuals before morally relevant phenomena, which didn't occur nor was intended by the Piagetian theory. Despite this, it is clear that Piaget left the "open road" in his theory for the continuity of research from the moral autonomy of children, linking in to the functional cognitive system, social relations and affective aspects (values), which would allow us to verify the particularities of morality in adulthood. This is what this paper suggest as a continuity of research on the subject
