Partindo da análise de várias expressões do pensamento critico no campo da Psicologia, Filosofia e Filosofia da Educação, este trabalho propõe que um caminho possível para una fundamentação mais consistente, que permita contextualizar criticamente a Psicologia Escolar, pode ser construído através do recurso aos pressupostos teórico-filosóficos de concepções críticas de Educação e Psicologia. Indica que a finalidade transformadora da Psicologia Escolar define-se por um compromisso claro com a tarefa de construção de práticas educacionais que cumpram sua função humanizadora. Analisa relatos de atividades profissionais que atuam no campo da educação em escolas, clínicas particulares e serviço público com o objetivo de apreender modos de atuação consistentes e pertinentes com esta finalidade. A análise dos resultados aponta para a presença de elementos críticos na prática de profissionais que atuam em diferentes espaços sociais. Com base nestes resultados e no referencial teórico utilizado, defende que os psicólogos escolares podem contribuir de maneira decisiva para que nas escolas sejam favorecidos os processos de humanização e a reapropriação da capacidade de pensamento crítico

Based on the analysis of several expressions of the critical thought in the Psychology, Philosophy and Educational Philosophy field, this work proposes that a possible way to a more consistent justification, that allows to put the Educational Psychology in context critically, can be built by running back to the theorical and philosophical bases of the critical conception of Education and Psychology. Education Psychology can be defined by a clear commitment to the task of creating Education. performances that meet its humanizing functions. It analyses professional activities reports of 21 psychologists that work in the Educational field in schools, private clinics and public service with the objective of perceiving ways of perfollll3llce consistent and pertinent do this purpose. The analyses of the results points to the presence of critical elements in the professional performances that work in different social roles. Based on the results and on the theorical referential used, it depends that Education Psychologists can contribute in a conclusive way so that in the school the humanizing process and the reappropriation of the capacity and critical though are favored
