Abstract in English
Identifying associations among variables correctly is essential to an individual can make a correct and critical interpretation of various phenomena present in nature and in the society of which he is a part. To describe this kind of association, a very relevant method is using linear regression models, which allow individuals to develop skills linked to a specific reasoning called correlational reasoning. In this thesis, it was presented a teaching-learning sequence of linear regression models for High School students based on the Design-Based Research (DBR) methodology which allows the development of correlational reasoning. Introducing linear regression models in High School is a subject that is present in several international curricula, including the Brazilian one. After the presentation of the sequence, it was discussed its connections with DBR and analyzed the potential results of its application.
