Abstract in English
This dissertation arises from the desire to share discoveries and explore the potential of Ethnomathematics as a pedagogical resource. The main objective is to create support material for teachers, aiming to explore the various applications of Ethnomathematics in the classroom. Throughout this dissertation, we contextualize Ethnomathematics in the light of various theorists, such as Ubiratan DAmbrosio, Marcia Ascher, Paulus Gerdes, Eduardo Sebastiani, Gelsa Knijnik, and Bill Barton. We bring possibilities for Ethnomathematics in the classroom, analyzing aspects in which it can be relevant beyond the teaching of content, such as transdisciplinarity and respect for cultural diversity. Finally, we propose a reflection on the continuity of studies and ways to contribute to the production of knowledge in this dynamic area
