Abstract in English
We present the construction of a Magneto-Optical Trap (MOT) for Rubidium Atoms. We discuss the principles of neutral atom trapping, the diode laser instrumentations used in this experiment, and a first caracterization of the trapped clouds of 85 Rb' and 87 Rb' atoms. We also developed a multichannel optical amplification system used for trapping, which we have denominated DMOPA (Double Master Oscillator Power Amplifier). This system is a simple and well adapted instrument dor trapping. Finally, we discuss the intended applications for the MOT in our lab.
