Mostramos, por meio de simulações em redes euclideanas finitas e de uma extrapolação para o limite do contnuo, que as configurações quânticas tpicas do modelo Sigma não-linear com simetria SO(2) não apresentam caráter topológico bem definido nas proximidades do ponto crtico, para o qual deve tender qualquer limite do contnuo que possua relevância fsica.

Abstract in English
We show, by means of simulations on finite Euclidean lattices and of an extrapolation to the continuum limit, that the typical configurations of the non-linear Sigma model with SO(2) symmetry do not have well-defined topological character near the critical point, to where any physically relevant continuum limit must tend.
