Apesar do expressivo acordo experimental obtido pelo modelo padrão das interações eletrofracas, algumas questões permanecem abertas. Em particular, o número existente de gerações fermiônicas e seu espectro de massa não são preditos pelo modelo de Glashow-Weinberg-Salam, além do fato de o boson de Higgs, ingrediente fundamental do modelo, não haver sido ainda descoberto. Neste trabalho procuramos investigar a produção de partículas pesadas em colisões hadrônicas a altas energias. Examinamos mecanismos de produção de uma nova geração leptônica, através da fusão de bosons vetoriais intermediários, a produção de um par de bosons de Higgs padrão e de bosons de Higgs carregados, preditos pela versão mínima do modelo padrão supersimétrico.

The standard model of electroweak interactions is in remarkable agreement with the present experimental results. Nevertheless, some open questions still remain. For instance, the number of fermions generations and its mass spectrum are not predicted by the Glashow-Weinberg-Salam rnodel, and the Higgs boson, an essential ingredient of the theory, has not been discovered yet. In this work, we investigate the production of heavy particles in hadronic collisions at high energies. We examine some intermediate vector boson fusion mechanisms for the production of a new generation of leptons. We also study the production of a standard Higgs boson pair and of charged Higgs bosons of minimal supersymmetrical version of the standard model.
