O multiculturalismo é um fenômeno que permeia a sociedade atual e, por conseguinte, o contexto escolar. Nesta pesquisa, o termo multiculturalismo representa uma realidade social na que estamos imersos, e é entendido como a diversidade cultural presente num mesmo contexto social e acadêmico. Esse fenômeno apresenta um desafio de desconstrução e reconstrução das práticas pedagógicas com a finalidade de abranger as diversas situações culturais presentes na aula. A educação hoje exige que o professor reflita frente a uma diversidade de identidades e grupos socioculturais, e na Educação Física não é diferente. Assim, faz-se necessário compreender como o professor de Educação Física trata as diferenças culturais no seu ofício. Esta pesquisa faz uma introdução ao debate da inclusão dos conteúdos da matriz africana nas aulas de Educação Física escolar fundamentado na Educação Intercultural como elemento solucionador de conflitos que reforça, por meio das aulas, o vínculo com a comunidade e a diversidade que a caracteriza. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi o de analisar a Educação Física escolar brasileira na perspectiva da Educação Intercultural, com ênfase na matriz africana; para tal fim foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com professores de Educação Física, escolhidos por conveniência tendo como critério de inclusão a preocupação com conteúdos pedagógicos relacionados à matriz africana. Após a análise das entrevistas, foi feita uma revisão de escopo a partir de outras produções sobre esse tema. De acordo com os resultados obtidos, foi possível identificar o papel do professor diante do tratamento desse fenômeno, as dificuldades que enfrentam os professores no seu fazer docente e os aspetos que têm facilitado a abrangência desses conteúdos nas aulas. Dessa forma, observou-se que a abordagem desses conteúdos apresenta alguns fatores que dificultam o trabalho, como a falta de formação dos docentes, o preconceito da sociedade referente a algumas manifestações culturais e a desinformação social; por outro lado, certas estratégias didático-metodológicas podem facilitar o processo de criação de identidade cultural dos alunos e inclusive dos professores, minimizando impactos sociais negativos e potenciando a formação integral do sujeito

Multiculturalism is a phenomenon that permeates the current society and therefore the school context. In this research, the term multiculturalism represents a social reality in which we are immersed and is understood as the cultural diversity present in the same social and academic context. This phenomenon presents a challenge to deconstruct and reconstruct the pedagogical practices with the purpose of covering the diverse cultural situations present in the classroom. Education today requires the teacher to reflect about the diversity of identities and sociocultural groups, and it is no different in Physical Education. Thus, it is necessary to understand how the Physical Education teacher deals with cultural differences in his/her job. This research introduces the debate about the inclusion of the contents of the African matrix in the classes of school Physical Education based on Intercultural Education as a conflict-solving element which reinforces through the classes the bond with the community and the diversity that characterizes it. The objective of this research was to analyze Brazilian School Physical Education from the perspective of Intercultural Education, with emphasis on the African matrix. To that end, semi- structured interviews were carried out with Physical Education teachers, chosen by convenience, having as inclusion criterion the concern with pedagogical contents related to the African matrix. After analyzing the interviews, a scope review was made based on other productions on this topic. According to the results obtained, it was possible to identify the teacher's role when dealing with this phenomenon, the difficulties that teachers face in their teaching and the aspects that have facilitated the inclusion of these contents in classes. Thus, it was observed that the approach to these contents presents some factors that make the work difficult, such as the teachers' lack of training, the prejudice of society regarding some cultural manifestations and the social misinformation; on the other hand, certain didactic-methodological strategies can facilitate the process of creation of cultural identity of the students and even of the teachers, minimizing negative social impacts and enhancing the integral formation of the subject
