Modelos teórico-conceituais de diferentes jogos esportivos podem ser encontrados na literatura. Entende-se que os conceitos e proposições desses modelos podem guiar a intervenção de diferentes profissionais do esporte (p. ex.: analistas de desempenho e treinadores), e servir como constructo para pesquisas na área. No caso do futsal, objeto do presente trabalho, os (poucos) modelos existentes procuraram descrever, sob diferentes perspectivas, a lógica-interna do jogo e as ações de jogadores e equipes. No entanto, sem desconsiderar sua relevância, esses modelos necessitam de atualizações e aprimoramento, afinal, por sua dimensão provisória e sintética da realidade, podem acabar deixando de lado alguns conceitos importantes da dinâmica do esporte. Por exemplo, esses modelos ainda não abordaram diretamente o conceito de vantagem para tratar da estrutura de funcionamento do jogo e do comportamento tático de jogadores e equipes. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo elaborar um modelo teórico-conceitual do jogo de futsal baseado no conceito de vantagem. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória da vantagem em três dimensões: (1) conceitual, visando oferecer uma definição operacional clara da vantagem que facilite a comunicação e a criação de uma linguagem comum entre treinadores, jogadores, pesquisadores e consumidores do jogo de uma maneira geral (i.e., expectadores, mídia, etc.); (2) factual, através de pesquisas empíricas para observar e analisar os diferentes tipos de vantagem emergentes no jogo; e (3) teórica, através da elaboração e testagem de um racional que reconhece a vantagem como objeto de análise central do confronto entre jogadores e equipes, articulando-a a outros elementos tático-estratégicos do jogo. Uma revisão de escopo foi conduzida para verificar se, ou como, a vantagem tem sido abordada em pesquisas do futsal. Ao constatar-se uma lacuna sobre a abordagem da vantagem, o estudo foi iniciado com uma pesquisa teórico-conceitual, na qual foram adotadas técnicas de mapeamento conceitual para mapear e formalizar os principais elementos tático-estratégicos do jogo, incluindo a vantagem. Em seguida, foram realizadas entrevistas com treinadores peritos para validar a pertinência e abrangência da vantagem e de outros conceitos relacionados a ela. Na etapa seguinte, foi realizada uma pesquisa empírica, na qual foram elaborados e utilizados instrumentos ad hoc para observar e analisar diferentes tipos e magnitudes de vantagem em contextos de jogo e ensino-treinamento do futsal. O trabalho foi apresentado através de estudos relativamente independentes mas que, em conjunto, buscam responder ao objetivo geral do projeto. Em que pese algumas limitações, defende-se a tese de que a vantagem é um constructo teórico-conceitual que permite explicar a regulação da dinâmica do jogo de futsal, sendo que diferentes tipos de vantagem podem ser observados e medidos individual e coletivamente. É esperado que o modelo teórico-conceitual alcançado afigure-se um código de leitura da estrutura básica relativa ao funcionamento do jogo e do comportamento tático (ações) dos jogadores e equipes, subsidiando a intervenção profissional e pesquisas na área

Conceptual-theoretical models of different sports games can be found in the literature. It has been comprehended that the concepts and propositions of these models can guide the professional intervention in sports (i.e., performance analysis and coaching), and serve as a construct for applied research. In the case of futsal, the object of this work, the (few) existing models sought to describe the internal-logic of the game and the actions of players and teams from different perspectives. However, without disregarding their relevance, these models need updating and improvement. After all, due to their provisional and synthetic dimension of reality, they sometimes ended up leaving aside some important sport game concepts. For example, they did not directly address the concept of advantage to deal with the game's operating structure and the tactical behavior of futsal players and teams. In this context, the present work aimed to elaborate a theoretical-conceptual model of the futsal game based on the concept of advantage. To this end, an exploratory study of advantage was carried out in three dimensions: (1) conceptual, aiming to offer a clear operational definition of advantage that facilitates communication and the creation of a common language between coaches, players, researchers and general consumers of the game (i.e., viewers, media, etc.); (2) factual, through empirical research to observe and analyze the different types of emerging advantage in the game; and (3) theoretical, through the elaboration and testing of a rationale that recognizes the advantage as the central object of analysis of the confrontation between players and teams, articulating it to other important tactical- strategic elements of the game. A scoping review was carried out to verify whether and how the advantage concept has been addressed in the futsal literature. Attesting a lack in the literature about the advantage approach in sport, conceptual mapping techniques were adopted to map and formalize the main tactical-strategic game features, including the advantage concept. Following, interviews with expert coaches were carried out to validate the pertinence and scope of the advantage and other concepts related to it. At the next stage, an empirical research was conducted through the utilization of ad hoc instruments to observe and analyze different types and magnitudes of advantage in contexts of futsal game performance and teaching-training environments. The work was presented by relative independent studies that, together, seek to respond to the general objective of the project. Despite some limitations, the thesis has defended that the advantage is a theoretical-conceptual construct that allows explaining the regulation of the dynamics of the futsal, considering that different types of advantage can be observed and measured individually and collectively within the game. As an implication of the work, it is expected that the theoretical-conceptual model achieved consolidates itself as a code for interpreting the basic structure related to the functioning of the game and the tactical behavior (actions) of players and teams, subsidizing professional intervention and research in the area
