Abstract in English
The aim of this thesis was to investigate the hypotheses that the successes in dribbling and not being dribbled would be related, respectively, to the increase in reaction time and the anticipation of the defender in football and futsal. In addition, it was investigated whether the success of dribbling and the reaction time were linked to the type of dribble. Five futsal games were filmed with players between 15 and 16 years of age and different levels of experience, and 2 football games, one in the under-17 category of Brazilian championship and the other in the São Paulo series A1 championship. The interval of time between the beginning of dribbling and the beginning of response equal to or above 200ms was defined as reaction time dribbling. And, and the anticipation dribbles were those performed with the referred time below 200ms. The dribbling was also classified into three categories: simple, choice and RPP (refractory psychological period). The sequences of game involving dribbling were edited from the moment the attacking player received the ball until the beginning of the defending player's first movement. The reaction and anticipation times were obtained by using the KINOVEA software. They were analyzed in relation to the dribbling success and type. The results related to the reaction time did not reveal significant differences for successful and unsuccessful dribbling in futsal and soccer. It was found only that dribbling that involved RPP had a reaction time greater than simple and choice dribbling in the games of football. As far as anticipation is concerned, the results revealed that successful dribbling was anticipated more often than unsuccessful futsal dribbling. In the football games, the results revealed that successful and unsuccessful dribbling involved anticipation. These results allowed us to conclude that the increase in reaction time and anticipation were not determining factors, respectively, for the successes of dribbling and not being dribbled in futsal and football
