O presente empreendimento investigativo se caracteriza como um estudo de caso, cujo objetivo é analisar o significado da prática na transmissão do sistema Ving Tsun de Kung Fu na perspectiva de mestres da Moy Yat Martial Intelligence. Primeiramente, a introdução relata de forma detalhada as relações entre o pesquisador e o objeto de estudo dentro do contexto mais amplo das artes marciais. A justificativa para a escolha do tema se baseia na hipótese de que a referida instituição apresenta uma abordagem diferenciada, do ponto de vista da pedagogia do movimento do corpo humano, para transmissão do sistema Ving Tsun. Com o intuito de fundamentar a relevância dessa temática para produção de conhecimentos na Educação Física, em específico no domínio das Lutas, Artes marciais e Modalidades Esportivas de combate, realizou-se um levantamento bibliográfico sobre os aspectos históricos, socioculturais, conceituais e acadêmicos dessas práticas corporais. Como metodologia, foram aplicadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com representantes indicados pela instituição, sendo utilizada a técnica de análise de conteúdo para tratamento dos dados. A partir da análise dos dados coletados, foi possível constatar que houve correspondência entre os conteúdos apresentados pelos entrevistados e os discursos proferidos pela instituição, apontando para um consenso sobre o significado da prática dentro do processo de transmissão do sistema Ving Tsun de Kung Fu

The following investigation consists in a case study on which the objective is to analyze the meaning of the practice in transmitting the Kung Fu Ving Tsun system from the perspective of Moy Yat Martial Intelligence masters. First, the introduction details the relationships between the researcher and the object of study within the broader context of martial arts. The theme was chosen based on the hypothesis that the referred institution presents a different approach in the perspective of the human body movement pedagogy in transmitting the Ving Tsun system. In order to support the relevance of the theme for the production of knowledge in Physical Education, especially in Fight, Martial Arts and Combat Sports Modalities field, a bibliographic survey was conducted on the historical, socio-cultural, conceptual and academic aspects of these physical practices. In terms of methodology, semi-structured interviews were applied with exponents indicated by the institution, using the content analysis technique for data treatment. Based on the analysis of the collected data, it was possible to verify a correspondence between the contents presented by the interviewees and the speeches given by the institution, leading to a consensus about the meaning of the practice within the transmission process of the Kung Fu Ving Tsun system
