O objetivo desta tese é a ampliação da hermenêutica simbólica (exercício da interpretação compreensiva do imaginário) e mitohermenêutica nos termos da relação entre a figura do atleta olímpico e o mito do herói realizada por Rubio (2001, 2019) que a operacionalizou por meio da identificação das etapas constituintes da jornada do herói (unidade nuclear do monomito - Joseph Campbell) e de elementos da estrutura heroica do Regime Diurno das imagens (Gilbert Durand), sobre o registro das narrativas biográficas dos atletas olímpicos brasileiros. A "jornada interpretativa" deste trabalho, perseguindo as postulações do conceito da trajetividade, se lançou em grande angular sobre a jornada de vida de quatro atletas olímpicos brasileiros em trajetos entre a alvorada do ser habilidoso (solar) e o crepúsculo deste corpo. Para a apresentação destes trajetos biográficos realizou-se a delimitação de um instrumento expressivo ao qual nomeamos contos biográficos, que possui o objetivo de fazer brilhar e destacar as imagens e os produtos hermenêuticos através de imagens literárias e poéticas de uma pequena narrativa (o conto), obedecendo ao nosso desejo de se distanciar do ímpeto da taxonomia das imagens. Os contos biográficos, tal qual característica das narrativas míticas, deslocam o conteúdo de um discurso, se desdobrando da narrativa primeira (narrativa biográfica). O itinerário traçado por esta tese, que se iniciou pela delimitação de um complexo de imagens de Ifigênia como produto da investigação sobre o imaginário da condição do gregário no ciclismo de estrada, ampliou o inventário das constelações de imagens e significações que se erguem além das concentrações diurnas relacionados ao herói solar, e apontou, até o momento, o espaço crepuscular na etapa do retorno da jornada do atleta-herói, marcado pela alternância da predominância do regime de imagens para as matérias noturnas, que sustentam manifestações de outras faces míticas além do herói, a saber; a figura do Mestre. Cantar o trajeto da alvorada habilidosa ao conhecimento crepuscular, confere a estes heróis olímpicos toda a espessura da ordem do humano, e a marca de sua postura diante das "faces do tempo"

The goal of this thesis is to expand the symbolic hermeneutics (the exercise of comprehensively interpreting the imaginary) and mito-hermeneutics with regards to the link between the figure of the Olympic athlete and the myth of the hero, established by Rubio (2001, 2009), who derived it through the identification of the steps that constitute the hero journey (nuclear unity of the monomyth - Joseph Campbell), and using elements of the heroic structure in the Daytime Regime of images (Gilbert Durand), projecting them onto the records of biographical narratives of Brazilian Olympic athletes. The "journey of interpretation" of this work, pursuing the postulations of the concept of "trajectivity", was launched in an angle over the life journey of four Brazilian Olympic athletes, from the dawn of the skillful being (solar), and the twilight of the body. To present those biographical trajectories, we opted for the creation of a tool of expression, which we named biographical tales, whose aim is to illuminate and highlight the images and hermeneutical products through literary images and poetics of small narratives (the tale), fulfilling our desire to distance ourselves from the impulses of imagery taxonomy. Biographical tales, as well as mythical narratives, move the content of a speech, unfolding from the first narrative (biographical narrative). The itinerary outlined by this thesis, which started with the delimitation of a complex of images of Iphigenia as a product of the research about the gregarious condition inherent to road cycling, increased the inventory of constellations of images and meanings that extrapolate the diurnal concentration of images related to the solar hero, and pointed out, thus far, the twilight space contained in the return of the journey of the athlete-hero, marked by the alternance between the predominance of the image regime for nocturnal matters, which also entail the manifestation of other mythical faces beyond the hero, namely, the image of the Master. Reciting the trajectory from the skillful dawn to the knowledgeable twilight bestows upon those Olympic athletes the whole depth of being human, and endorses their posture when faced with the "faces of time"
