Abstract in English
The aim of this study was to observe the evolution of one team of youngster male vol1eyball players (10 players, mean age 16,15 :t 0,74 years) analyzing motor, anthropometric and organizational aspects that characterized and influenced an 8-month training season. It was measured the duration of physical conditioning (PC) and technical/tactical training (TT) sessions. The following results were obtained: TT was present in all 128 training days, while the PC was present in 121 days. The time dedicated to TT was bigger than time dedicated to PC, 71,4% and 28,6% of the total training time, respectively. It was also measured the time spent on different contents of the PC sessions and there was a prevalence of stretching exercises (98,3%). There was not found statistically significant alterations (p<_0.05) on anthropometrics measurements. Among all motor tests only the sit-up test showed a statistically significant improvement of 15,5% (p 0.05) by the end of the season. This study allowed us to tl1ink about youngster male volleyball players training organization and its effects on motor performance and anthropometrics variables. However, similar studies are needed to better characterize training organization in Brazilian volleyball
