There is a growing apprehension to study the behavior of the human movement when interacting in different surrounding and environments. Under this context there is a great interest to study the human movement under water, once it is well known that such environment has been utilized since long time as a means of therapeutical value owing to different mechanical proprieties it offers. Although the aquatical environment is already regarded as an alternative place adequated for physical training and rehabilitation, there is a shortage of deeper and longer studies about its real advantages, disadvantages, consequences and precautions. Thus, through a careful bibliographical revision about the studies related with biomechanical changes such as the ground reaction force, computation of intersegmental moments of power, registration of muscular electrical activity, angular variation and others, it has been noticed that there are insufficient researches in this sense showing a true gap in the scientific literature about this theme, under this assertion the knowledge of the electromiographical activity Standard as well as the angular variation of the knee articulation during the gait in different environments can lead to the understanding of how the nervous system manages the human movement. The present study aims to display the Standard of activity of the electromiographical signal of muscles of the inferior limbs when related with the gait carried out in the aquatical environment besides comparing it to the Standard of the gait done on land. It also pertained to the same purpose the determination of the Standard and comparative analysis of the angular variations of the knee articulation in the aforementioned situations. Through the experimental methodology established, it was proceeded the collection of muscular electrical signals and the angular variation of the articulation of the knee during the gait on land and aquatical environments. The results indicated the existence of different standards for the angular variation as well as for the angular speed of the articulation of the knee associated with the cycle of the gait. Such comparison has been done through the application of t-test for similar samples, which levei of significance presented less than 5 %. Concerning the muscular electrical activity, it has been noticed that the average coefficients of variation have different values in magnitude for the same muscle when activated on different places. These values rank 27.6% and 14% for the vastus lateralis muscle, 24% and 29% for biceps femuris, 32% and 42% for the tibialis anterior and 32% and 23.6% for gastro9cnemious lateralis, respectively for aquatical and earthy environment. It is therefore concluded that the curves representative of the angular variation of the articulation of the knee and those representative of the variation of the angular velocity in function of the time are significantly different, in accordance with the surrounding in which the human gait has been effected, besides having a variability for these parameters when the movement happens in the aquatical environment. With relation to the electromiographical signal it has been concluded that the variability is not a dependent environment, however, the standards of muscular electrical activity are significantly different in accordance with the surrounding, presenting inclusively alterations in the existing relations between the antagonic muscles to the movement of flexion and extension of the articulation of the ankle
