Abstract in English
The costs of occupying corporate offices are significant, which is why companies have been challenging engineers and architects in the Facility Management field to seek ever more efficiency in their operations. With the COVID-19 pandemic, companies were forced to break paradigms, anticipating the implementation of remote work through the Home Office, as a result of technological advances, which made them change their way of thinking regarding the use of corporate offices. This work aimed to develop a model for optimizing spaces in corporate offices, through linear programming, a mathematical model. Linear Programming is a branch of mathematical programming that is part of quantitative methods to support decision making. The results obtained exceeded expectations, obtaining a 15% reduction in the need for space and, consequently, in occupation and implantation costs.
