Abstract in English
The generation of images from techniques such as Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) and Ultrasound Tomography (UST) requires the solution of an ill-posed inverse problem. The regularization of such problems using a bayesian approach requires an anatomical atlas. One can construct an anatomical atlas of the thorax using samples from CT-scan. However, these samples are usually acquired under different conditions from those necessary for EIT and UST application: patients usually keep their arms up during CT-scan exam while, during UST and EIT, patients maintain their arms down. This work presents a method that uses CT-scan to generate samples that follow the requirements for the construction of an anatomical atlas for EIT and UST application. This method moves the scapula and the clavicle to a region compatible with the position of these structures in a patient keeping the arms down and also estimates the distribution of a patient's soft tissue under the condition of EIT and UST exams.
