Title in Portuguese
Projeto para mantenabilidade de máquinas automáticas.
Keywords in Portuguese
Teoria da confiabilidade
Vendas (Equipamentos ;Manutenção; Confiabilidade)

Abstract in English
Maintainability is essentially an efficient repair of machines and equipment. To repair a machine efficiently is not only to perform its corrective maintenance in a proper way. It is a concern that must exist since the project, improving the accesses to the equipment and decreasing the necessary time to isolate the failures. The exclusive application of the maintainability concepts does not guarantee the efficient functioning of the system. This concept and the reliability concept must be applied together, resulting in an approach well more inclusive, the reliability and maintainability (R&M). The best way of measuring this set of characteristics in a machine is through the availability. The main objective of the work will be to elaborate a methodology to increase the availability of a vending machine, having as study object a DVD's rental machine. For this, the concepts of failures, maintenance, reliability, maintainability and availability will be introduced among other topics of great importance. Using the maintenance reports of these machines, collected throughout a period of two years, diverse improvements will be considered aiming at the increase of its availability. Afterward, the observation of these improvements will be done to evaluate the reached result.
