Abstract in English
This work congregates elements to be considered to the development of a new vehicle or special series aiming the assemblability, since the conceptual phase of the design, especially through the simultaneous engineering utilization. Based on the theories of some important researches on this subject, relevant points of a new product design for assembly are discussed. Interview results on working method and proceedings used on the development of a new vehicle or special series, made in the main departments related to new programs of the company that is study subject of this work, represented by their executives, are presented on a stratified form aiming to denote the critical points to be considered to the obtainment of a final optimized product regarding the assemblability since the project. It is presented, then a comparison between the interviews results and the theories on the design for assembly, showing their main differences and conformities. Additionally, based on the data obtained during the research and interviews, improvements to be introduced in a vehicle manufacturer are proposed, giving emphasis to the potential benefits to be achieved with the adoption of the design for assembly conceptT
