Abstract in English
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of the mean gradiente velocity in the oxygen transfer from gas phase to liquid phase. Once this influence was confirmed from the bench scale data it was proposed a mass transfer modelo f volatile organic compounds considering the turbulence effects. This model was calibrated with oxygen transfer data obtained from the air diffused pilot plant. Based on the simulation it was observed the complexity between the variables envolved in the mass transfer process, mainly the influence of mass transfer flux per unit area along the depth.
